8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg GmbH has successfully completed the technical construction support of a 26 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Neumünster. In future, the plant will participate in the control energy market and thus contribute to regional grid stability.
The general contractor and client was SMA Altenso GmbH, which expressly praises the cooperation:
“We appreciate the technical and expert advice from 8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg and are also planning to implement future projects together,” explains Selin-Isabel Keller, project manager at SMA Altenso.
As the share of renewable energy grows, so do the requirements for grid stability and the balancing of generation and consumption. Industrial battery storage systems play a key role in this — in particular by providing control energy and shifting load profiles.
Professional technical planning and implementation is essential for these systems to work reliably and economically. 8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg GmbH brings many years of project experience and cross-technology expertise to the table.
“We are pleased to have made an active contribution to the energy revolution in Germany together with SMA Altenso and other partners,” says Ralf Reek, managing director of 8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg GmbH.
8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg will continue to support national and international storage and photovoltaic projects in the coming months. The aim is always the safe, efficient and economic integration of renewable energy into the supply infrastructure.
With every project, 8.2 sets an example for a sustainable energy future — independent, technically sound and practical.
