WEZ Hanse e.V. awarded Manfred Lührs the honorary prize “Golden Asparagus 2020 - 2022" for his diverse commitment - not only in the area of renewable energies.

As a “veteran of the industry”, WEZ Hanse e.V. honored Manfred Lührs for his commitment and life's work to date in wind energy.

This life's work began back in 1977 with the construction of his first windmill. After working as sales manager for a turbine manufacturer, he finally founded the first 8.2 engineering office in Süderdeich in 1995. In doing so, he laid the foundation for today's worldwide 8.2 network.
